The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) were created specifically to compensate vaccine-injured individuals.
No-Fault System
You don't need to prove negligence or that a manufacturer did something wrong. If your injury is listed on the Vaccine Injury Table, the burden shifts to the government.
Who It Covers

Is there a deadline to file a vaccine injury claim?
Yes. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) generally requires claims to be filed within 36 months of the first symptom. Don't wait — deadlines vary by program and injury type.
Does it cost anything to submit my information?
No. Submitting your information is free and confidential. For VICP claims, attorneys' fees are paid by the program, separately from any award, and lawyers can't charge a contingency fee. For COVID-19 (CICP) claims, ask any attorney about fees upfront.
What vaccines are covered?
The VICP covers most routinely recommended vaccines, including flu, HPV, MMR, Tdap, and others. COVID-19 vaccine claims are handled separately under the CICP program.
Do I need to prove the vaccine caused my injury?
